Padded satin-stitch patch

Make the subject a single free-standing embroidered patch: the whole shape is stitched as one badge with a raised, tightly wrapped satin-stitch border following its outline. Inside, dense padded satin stitches lie side by side along each form's direction, edges standing proud with a soft rolled rim; larger areas switch to fill stitch with visible angle changes, and fine lines become split or chain stitch. Thread sheen catches along every stitch run. Eyes and small features are short satin bars or French knots with one thread highlight. Resemblance lives in silhouette and large colour areas, built only from stitches at every scale. Scene: an embroidered patch shaped as a fox sitting upright with a bushy tail curled round, orange, cream and charcoal thread with a few green leaf stitches at its feet.
