Assemble the image from irregular angular glazed-tile shards with varied sizes, narrow nonrepeating grout, occasional chipped ceramic edges; smaller fragments describe eyes and key boundaries. Resemblance in big shapes only: silhouette, pose, proportions, large patch areas. Below fingertip scale use only tessera and grout; never overlay cracks on a photograph. Any eyes or nose are tile pieces with one glazed highlight. Glaze and grout texture show everywhere. Eye and coat colours become the material's closest values. No photographic detail, crisp strands or glossy eye reflections.
Square 1:1 frame. A round sourdough loaf seen from directly above sits in the centre of the frame on a pale grout-white ground, its crust split open along a scored leaf pattern: one long central cut with five curved cuts branching from each side like the veins of a leaf. The cuts have burst into pale cream crumb with fine ragged ears of crust along each lip, and a little flour dusts the crust beside the cuts. The loaf fills the middle two thirds of the frame with an even band of ground around it.
Deep amber and chestnut tiles for the crust, warm cream and butter-yellow tiles for the crumb in the cuts, soft grey tiles for the ground, and one bright glaze highlight on the crown of the loaf. The loaf is plain and unlettered.
